The Management of the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), led by the Executive Secretary - Prof. Ismail Junaidu, on Monday, 21st June, 2021, paid a condolence visit to the family of her former Executive Secretary, Late Prof. Godswill Obioma, who passed away on Monday, 31st May, 2021, at his residence in Abuja. Late Prof. Godswill Obioma was formally the Executive Secretary of NERDC from 2005 – 2015.

The Executive Secretary, Prof. Ismail Junaidu, in his remark during the visit, stated that the mention of NERDC will not be complete without the mention of the name of late Prof. Godswill Obioma. According to him, the late Prof. Obioma “contributed enormously to the institutional development of the Council. He worked assiduously to bring NERDC on the front-burner and in the limelight among other institutions he worked with."
