Dr. Olakunle S. Akinsola, is a Director of Research and the Head of NERDC North-West Zonal Office, Kano. He oversees the activities of the Council in all the Seven (7) States within the North-West Zone. He is a PhD degree holder in Educational Evaluation and has also distinguished himself as a specialist in the field of Educational Research Measurement and Evaluation within and outside NERDC. He has over twenty (20) papers presented in local and international conferences and over sixty Five (65) publications in local and international journals, mostly in the areas of Evaluation of Teaching Effectiveness and Students’ Achievement in Science and Mathematics Education. His areas of specialization are the following:
- Psychometrics
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Data Analysis
- Education Research
- Education Quality (Teacher training, School Improvement and development, Curriculum development)
Dr Akinsola is a consultant to the British Council and his skills, experiences and related achievements on tasks delivered within and outside NERDC include the following among others:
