Dr. Garba Dahiru Gandu: B.A Combined Honors(History / Hausa); M.A Hausa (Language / Linguistics); PhD (African Languages/Linguistics); Graduate Certificate (Reading); Bachelor of Law (LLB); Barrister at Law, (BL); Foundation, and Proficiency Certificates in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

Garnered 0ver a 35 Year period as: Classroom Teacher (Education Officer) - History, Social Studies, and English at Secondary School Level; Assistant - Principal/Senior Lecturer Hausa language/Linguistics at Tertiary Level; Head of Department, Remedial Arts at Tertiary Level; Head of Department, Department of Languages at Tertiary Level; Principal Research Officer - Director of Research, Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), Director Special Duties and Head of Curriculum Development Centre (NERDC). Performed routine academic as well as administrative and ad-hoc duties at substantive and committee positions.

Attended and organized many local and international trainings, seminars, conferences and workshops; and, Participated in research projects and published journal articles, coauthored books and research on language development and research, language education, language and linguistics, curriculum and instructional material development, educational policy and assessment, reading, book development and quality assurance, peace and conflict resolution.
