Alaku, Saurayi Patrick Orame (Ph.D), Professor of English was born on the 15th October, 1957. Prof. Patrick Orame is a Fellow of the National Association for Research Development and has membership affiliation to different Professional bodies including: National Association of Curriculum Theorists (NACT); National Association of Teachers of English in Colleges of Education and Polytechnics (NATECEP); Nigerian Bar Association (NBA); Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (MTRCN); Reading Association of Nigeria; National Association for the Advancement of Knowledge and Member, Association of Professional Negotiators and Mediators.
He has attended and presented over 30 papers at different Academic workshops across the country. He is the Coordinator, LVT (Sandwich) Programme (2011 - Date); Faculty of Education; Senate Member of Nasarawa State University (2011 to date); Education Faculty Representative in Law Faculty Board (2012 to date) and the Facilitator, National Open University of Nigeria, lafia Centre, Nasarawa State (2009 to date); Head, Department of Arts and Social Science Education (2016 to Date).
Prof. Orame was commended and rewarded with Long Service Award by FCE Bichi, Kano on the 24th July, 2000. He serves as WAEC External Examiner at the National level as well as JAMB External Examiner in English for Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.
He is happily married with children.
