Comrade Nwankwo Kelvin Akochi (KSM, JP) Profile

Comrade Nwankwo Kelvin Akochi, born on 12th June, 1962, is a native of Acharaukwu Nsokkara, Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1975 from Community Primary School, Acharaukwu Nsokkara; WASC (1984) from Ezzaikwo High School, Amuzu; NCE (1989) from Anambra State College of Education, Awka; HND Agric (1989) from Anambra State College of Agriculture, Ikwo; PGD Public Administration (2005) from Imo State University, (IMSU) Owerri; M.P. Admin (2008) from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu; M.Sc HRM (2014) from Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki and currently Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D in view.

Having the flare for teaching, Kelvin has contributed his quota at the following; Ikwo High School, Agubia; Army Day School, Nkwegu; Ezzikworo High School, Ukameta; Nnodo Boys Secondary School, Abakaliki; Comprehensive Secondary School, Oriuzor; Ezza High School, Amuzu; and is presently the Supervising Principal of the Secondary Education Board, Zonal Office, Onueke, Ebonyi State.

In addition, Kelvin has held the following positions in Ebonyi State; President, All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, (ANCOPSS); State Chairman of NUT; State Secretary, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC); National Auditor (ANCOPSS); National Secretary (ANCOPSS); Board member, Secondary Education Board; Part time Board Member, Universal Basic Education Board; Council member, West Africa Examination Council (WAEC); Member, Governing Board, National Examination Council (NECO); Member, Presidential Merit Award Selection Committee for National Youth Service Corps (2010-2014), Member, Presidential Fact-finding Committee on Abduction of Chibok Girls in Borno State (2014). He is currently a Council Member of the Teachers' Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), as well as the National Deputy President, Nigeria Union of Teachers.

Sir Kelvin, Member of the renowned Knights of St. Mulumba, Nigeria (KSM) is happily married with children.
