Kabiru Isyaku, a Professor of Education, Bayero University, Kano was born on September 23rd, 1953. He attended various schools and has the following educational qualifications: Islamiya school, Jos and Kudu Central Primary School, Kazaure, Jigawa state, 1961 - 68 (FSLC); School for Arabic Studies, Kano, Kano state, 1969 - 73 (Teachers' Grade II Certificate); Abdullahi Bayero College/Ahmadu Bello University, Kano, Kano state, 1974 - 77 (B.Ed); Bayero University, Kano, 1978 - 80 ( M.Ed Tests and Measurments); Indiana University, Bloomington, USA, 1980 - 83 [Doctor of Education, Educational Psychology (Major), Inquiry Methodology and Computer Usage (COMPOSITES)]; West Virginia University, Morgantown W.V., USA, 1987 (Post Doctoral); and National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, 1995 (Member of the National Institute).
Prof. Kabiru was a former Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Colleges of Education, NCCE (1998 - 2006). Before that appointment, he served as the Director, Academic Planning, Research and Statistics, NCCE (1990 - 91); Director, Academic Programmes, NCCE (1991 - 97) and Acting Executive Secretary, NCCE (1997 - 98). He served as Lecturer/Professor at Bayero University, Kano as well as visiting Lecturer to many universities including West Virginia University, Morgantown W.V. USA, Danfodio University, Sokoto and Professor of Education on Secondment to Umaru Musa Yar'Adua University.
The former Head of Department and Dean of Education, Bayero University, Kano has many journal and books publications to his credit. He is married with four children.
