Dr. Nimrod Abu David Ph. D., jp, fcai, mnatt, fcon
Dr. Nimrod Abu David Ph. D., jp, fcai, mnatt, fcon, is the Business Development Officer of the NERDC Consult. He was born on the 11th of November, 1959 in Chanchaga Local Government Area in Minna, Niger State. After his primary and secondary education he proceeded to Ahamadu Bello University and obtained the Nigerian Certificate in Education NCE (Technical) and a Bachelors of Education (Technical) all from Ahamadu Bello University (Kaduna Polytechnic Campus). In 1988 he won a Federal Government Scholarship to participate in the Technical Teachers Training Programme (TTTP) in the University of Wisconsin - Stout in the United States of America (USA) and obtained a Masters Degree in Vocational Education.
He returned to Nigeria and was given an appointment with the Federal University of technology Minna, Niger State as a pioneer staff in the Department of Industrial Technology Education as Lecturer II. In 1994 he secured his present appointment with the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) Sheda - nAbuja as a Principal Research Officer (Technology)
In 1998 he was selected for a National Assignment under the Technical Aid Corps (TAC) programme and was posted to Institute of Teacher Education Kyambogo, Kampala Uganda as Senior lecturer in the Department of Technological studies. After the completion of the programme he returned to NERDC to continue with his career as a researcher.
In 2017 he bagged the Philosophy of Divinity (Ph. D.) Degree in Technology and Vocational Education, Mechanical/Metal work technology option, from Ebonyi State University.
Dr. Nimrod Abu David is a member of three professional bodies namely: Academic Staff Union of Universities - Research Institutes Sector; Nigerian Association of Teachers of Technology (NATT); and Curriculum Organization of Nigeria (CON) he has attended many professional conferences, workshops and seminars with academic publication in reputable Journals. He is also one of the authors of the NERDC - Learn African Basic Technology for Junior secondary text, books 1, 2, and 3 including teachers' guides and students' work books.
