Prof. Nwufo, Kate Obiamaka (Nee Osu) Ph.D, mni, fcon, fnae, is a Professor of Vocational Business Education. She is from Onitsha, in Onitsha North LGA of Anambra State. She started her education at African Church Primary School, Idi-Aba Abeokuta, Secondary education at Queens School Enugu. She then proceeded to the Institute of Management & Technology, Enugu where she obtained an ND and NCE. After that she attended Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, Michigan for her B. Bus. Ed. and M. Bus. Ed. She then proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where she bagged a Ph.D in Vocational Business Education in 1991.
She capped it all with attendance to the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), kuru, Jos, Plateau State in 2005. She started her career at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1982 as an Assistant Lecturer where she rose to the position of Senior Lecturer in 1989. She then joined the services of the Nigerian Educational Research & Development Council (NERDC) Abuja in 1994 where she rose to the position of Director in 1998.
She belongs to many professional associations amongst which includes Curriculum Organization of Nigeria; where she is a Fellow, Nigerian Academy of Education where she made her mark as the Secretary General, which led to her being made a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Education in 2016. She is the current National Chairperson of the Forum for African Women Educationalists (Nigeria).
